The Way of Fire
The Way of Fire is the biblical pattern of discipleship that produces Christians who are:
- Completely surrendered to Christ
- Walking in supernatural authority
- Operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit
- Advancing God's Kingdom with the same power and obedience demonstrated by Jesus and His apostles
It is Christianity as Jesus demonstrated it—before it became diluted, perverted, confused, and made lukewarm by religious institutions.
Core Principles
Complete Surrender
"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." — Luke 14:26
God doesn't want part of your life. He wants all of it. The Way of Fire demands everything.
Radical Obedience
Obedience to God isn't optional or extra credit—it's the entire point. When you understand God has a specific will for your life, everything becomes about advancing His Kingdom.
Supernatural Authority
The Way of Fire isn't merely moral living. It's walking in the same miraculous power the disciples demonstrated:
- Healing the sick
- Casting out demons (Deliverance)
- Raising the dead
- Miracles as normal occurrences
Rejection of Lukewarmness
"So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." — Revelation 3:16
The Way of Fire stands in direct contrast to lukewarm religion—the powerless, comfortable Christianity that dominates most churches today.
Historical Examples
The Generals of Faith throughout history walked the Way of Fire:
- John G. Lake
- Smith Wigglesworth
- Kathryn Kuhlman
- William Seymour
- Kenneth Hagin
- Aimee Semple McPherson
- Lester Sumrall
- Norvel Hayes
These saints couldn't imagine living life except for Christ. They couldn't imagine not being consumed with gratitude to Father God. They couldn't imagine not being guided daily by the Holy Spirit.
The Narrow Path
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." — Matthew 7:13-14
The Way of Fire isn't the easy path. It demands:
- Complete surrender
- Radical obedience
- Willingness to look foolish to the world
- Severing ties with worldly attachments
But it's the only path that leads to the supernatural life Jesus promised: "Greater works than these shall you do" (John 14:12).
The Promise
Those who walk the Way of Fire gain:
- Intimacy with the living God
- Supernatural authority
- Purpose that transcends circumstances
- Peace that passes understanding
- Power to heal, deliver, and transform lives
- A life that matters for eternity
