Appendix F: A Rededication

A real conversation, close to three hours on a video call: Gary, a friend called Daniel here, and Apostle Delmar meeting him for the first time. Transcribed and lightly edited for clarity. Names and identifying details have been changed to protect privacy. Where the Apostle leads a prayer, he gave it line by line and Daniel repeated every line; the prayers are printed whole.

Four-panel cinematic biblical comic, vertical stack. Deep royal navy and sapphire backgrounds, holy white linework, soft pale-gold-and-cyan mystical holy light (not orange-red flame; light not heat; what spiritual eyes see). Bold sapphire-and-pale-gold title bar: A REDEDICATION. 1. SO CLOSE BUT SO FAR: split-screen video call; Gary Sheng (East Asian Chinese-American man, 33, short dark hair brushed up, clean-shaven, smart-casual, small fiery-dove pendant, never a cross necklace) talks with Daniel (Korean-American man, mid-30s, round glasses, side-parted longer dark hair, light stubble, casual hoodie); behind them a doorway of pale-gold light with a silhouetted thinker standing just outside it; banner CROSSING THE THRESHOLD; caption: 'You can be so close but so far.' 2. BETTER THAN IT'S EVER BEEN: Apostle Delmar Coward Jr. (distinguished Black male preacher, mid-60s to early 70s, bald closely-shaved head, completely clean-shaven with no beard and no mustache, warm smile, tailored navy blazer, beaded bracelet on left wrist) joins the call and speaks over Daniel; a cracked heart above Daniel's window is knit back together with seams of pale-gold light; banner PSALM 138:7; caption: 'Thou wilt revive me.' 3. THE FALSE LIGHT NAMED: Daniel's wilderness years; he turns his back on a cold pale-green counterfeit glow full of vague shadowy entities and faces toward warm pale-gold-and-cyan true light; banner PHARMAKIA; caption: 'If I'm back in the garden, I took the fruit.' 4. NOW YOU'RE THERE: Daniel prays with eyes closed and hands open, washed head to toe in pale-gold-white glow with cyan undertones; the Apostle leads with a raised hand from his window, Gary beams from his; banner 1 JOHN 1:9. Bold sapphire-and-pale-gold footer bar: NOW YOU'RE THERE.

This book keeps saying the fire transfers in conversation. Here is a whole one.

Gary introduced a friend to the Apostle: a Korean American technologist in his mid-thirties, gifted, walking through the end of a long relationship, freshly grieving the dog he had to give up, and about a year into finding his way back to God after a long wilderness. Three hours later the friend had a healed heart, an assigned Scripture, and a rededicated life. Almost everything this book teaches happens live somewhere in this call: the broken heart put back together, Kingdom identity, declaration, human error versus God's faithfulness, the counterfeit named for what it is, and the prayer of return.

Before the Call: So Close but So Far

The Apostle was delayed, so Gary and Daniel talked while they waited. The subject was the people who circle faith for years without stepping in, and one famous thinker in particular.

Gary: Jordan Peterson was critical for me. I wouldn't be who I am without him. And at the same time, it's sad. He's such an avatar for a certain kind of person: super philosophical, logical, appreciates archetypes, but hasn't crossed the threshold of softening their heart in a way that can receive from God. Because it's the heart that's where God really communicates with you. His true conversion could be the result of tens of millions of people crossing the threshold as well.

Daniel: I could see how he's afflicted with a spiritual disease, in a way. But he's so close at the same time.

Gary: Isn't that the funny thing? Isn't it funny that you can be so close but so far?

Daniel: It could be so beautiful, actually. The story's not finished yet. And yet I also feel like he's deeply misunderstood. That intellect wouldn't be there if he didn't deeply care.

Gary: He cares so much, he thinks he has to save it.

Daniel: Yeah. He's willing to bleed for it. And he cares so much that he indexes on the one tool he knows, which is his logical faculties.

While they waited, Gary told the story of how an elder's prayer first connected him to the Apostle, sent Daniel the little picture book about the Apostle's life, and described what walking with him is like.

Gary: Dude, every day I meet someone that's sick. Just because God's sending me their way. People bring it up, I didn't even ask. "Oh yeah, my mom's dying." I'm in the middle of supporting a teenager who lost his sight in a car accident and is recovering it in a way that's confounding the doctors.

Daniel: This story keeps getting more and more unbelievable.

The Introduction

The Apostle joined the call.

Gary: Excited for you to meet my friend. I'll give you a little background on Daniel. Quickly: he's separating from a partner he's been with for a few years, and it was quite difficult. He also had to give up his dog. So a lot of things are shifting in his life. Obviously I have my views about how storms can ultimately be used for good. Daniel is a friend that we connected over being both tech people and seeking Christ. And he definitely has a big purpose on this earth. I think it'd be great for you to pray over him today, Apostle, but also just to get to know him.

Apostle: Nothing beats the dark like the light. I tell people all the time: don't make me flip the switch. When you turn the light on, darkness flees. We have a switch, and it comes from our heart, out of our mouth. Whatever darkness is around, it has to flee. God gave it to us like that.

So tell me a little bit about what you're needing here. Well, let me start with this. Just from the things Gary has told me, your heart needs healing. A broken heart is a very bad thing. And the good news about a broken heart is God can put it back together again, and it'll be better than it's ever been. Can you say "better than it's ever been"?

Daniel: Better than it's ever been.

Apostle: That's what I'm talking about. Some people take an old car and they remodel that thing. They keep the old style, but now it has all the new amenities. AC, radio, speakers. They may even do some upgrades on the engine. It runs faster. When God rebuilds your heart, it's like that. You can't go to God and get back the same thing you had before. Your heart is healed, but it won't be on that level. It'll be a whole other level.

"Thou Wilt Revive Me"

Apostle: Psalm 138, verse 7. "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me." (Psalm 138:7)

That word "revive," in the Hebrew, here's what it really means. To make alive, literally or figuratively. To give promised life. Not just the life you had in the past. Promised life. That's future. To nourish up. To preserve. To quicken, which means it happens right now. To recover. To repair. To restore to life and to health. So if there are health issues, you get that too. To be whole. To sustain. You know what sustain means if you play an instrument. You hit the note, you hold the key down, and it keeps going. To be quickened from sickness and discouragement, from faintness, and from death. To be restored. To be refreshed.

That's about to happen in you.

Daniel: Amen. I receive that. Thank you.

Apostle: That's a lot, and it comes from that one word. Better than you can imagine. So imagine the best that your life has ever been. Imagine being very, very happy. You're working at the right place. I didn't say toiling. I said working. You have everything that you need, and your relationship with Christ is hitting on all cylinders.

Daniel: Okay. We're going into imagination time.

Apostle: Yeah, but it's not really imagination time. It's really creation time. We're going to create with the mind of Christ that you have. The world calls it imagination. What you're really doing is creating what God has already given you. So close your eyes and think about that for a second. No loss. No lack. No want. No need. Everything is a blessing. Your relationship with God is so tight that every word He speaks, you hear.

Now I want you to say this.

The Apostle led the prayer line by line, and Daniel repeated every line.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come to you. You know everything that I've gone through. And you've already provided the way out. You've already provided the way to overcome, and to do even greater. I choose to follow you. I choose to overcome. And I thank you for the greater. Father, I'm asking you, in the name of Jesus: heal my heart. Put my heart back together again. Revive me. Restore me. Thank you, Father. I receive it. It's mine right now. My heart is no longer broken. It's one. My hope is in you, not in anything else. I leave the past behind. We're going to a greater future. I forgive everyone that's hurt me in the past. I even ask forgiveness for myself. I want nothing to be between us, Father. I believe, and I receive: healing in my heart, my body, my life, spirit, soul, and body. Thank you, Father. I bless your holy name. I am right with you, washed in the blood of the Lamb. And I'm restored to life, in every way. The devil is a liar. I get sevenfold greater. The best days are not behind me. The best days are before me. So I forget those things which are behind, and I look for the greater. Thank you, Father. I am so excited. It's gonna be better than it's ever been. And that happens now. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Apostle: Amen. Amen. That's what I'm talking about. Now, man, tell me something about yourself. I just jumped right into it, didn't I?

"I Am Kingdom"

Daniel: What can I say? I'm Korean. Korean American.

Apostle: Okay, let me stop you right there. You're actually heaven, Korean, American. Because now you're born again. You're born from the Kingdom that's from above. When you say "I am Kingdom," that trumps everything else you just said. Somebody asks where you're from, you can tell them: I was born in Korea, I'm in America, I'm really Kingdom. Your citizenship is in heaven right now. And when you acknowledge your citizenship, you loose angels, you loose the Holy Spirit, and everything that comes from your country, from the Kingdom, you loose all of that to operate in your life.

I have diplomatic immunity. The laws of this earth don't faze me, because I'm Kingdom. I go by my own laws. That's why we can run storms off. That's why we lay hands on people and tumors disappear. Because the Kingdom we're from trumps everything in this world. Okay. Keep going. Just a little lesson.

Daniel: Korean American Kingdom. I love the arts. I love creativity, all forms of it. Always have. And that's been one of the core battles through my life. From my teenage years I wanted to pursue creating, in music especially. My first business in high school was selling music I made, so I could afford equipment and get a little studio started.

My parents came here from Korea as dirt-poor immigrants. Started with nothing. Their dream was for me to get a great education and have the kind of stability and security they never had. So when their son turned around and told them he wants to make music for a living, the ground fell beneath their feet.

It's important in our culture to honor your parents and your elders. They sacrificed everything to give me a shot. So I prioritized that, and I don't think that was unwise. But on a spiritual level, it always felt like those gifts were not nurtured, like that was something I was never really allowed to prioritize. A lot of dreams deferred. I just turned thirty-five. I've had fifteen years of finding success in the tech and startup world, and I've crossed into the creative industries too, so it's not like I've dismissed that part of myself. And I have incredible gratitude for my parents. But it's something I love, and I've had to keep fighting to find a place for it.

Apostle: Let me stop you right there and speak on something. In high school I was a very good athlete. I played football. I could always sing. Scholarship offers in choir, scholarship offers in football. But something happened to me between my sophomore and junior year. I got born again. I found out how real Jesus was. Like, real. Of course, I also did not know then that I was an apostle. Apostles are not made. They're born, and then they're anointed to do their job.

When I got born again, everything went through the ceiling. All of it: the football, singing songs to make the young girls cry. I still write songs. I still have a studio. I'm familiar with the beats. But when I got born again, I found out who I really was. Who God made you is greater than all of that stuff that was before you. All of your dreams, all of your desires. Psalm 139: inside your mother's womb, He knew you, and He made you. There's something inside of you that can only be satisfied by doing what He desires. And that's okay, because it also is what you desire. It's really what makes you tick.

Some of your childhood dreams can be off of false things. The devil will always bring a decoy before you hit the real thing. You follow a decoy down the road, it could take forever to get back on track. Except God can do it in a move. GPS: God's Positioning System. You don't have to turn around and go back. He'll pick you up from right here and take you straight to where you need to be.

He knows what makes you happy, and He wants you happy. "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalm 37:4) When you're hitting the bull's-eye God had for you, it gives Him pleasure, but it gives you more pleasure, because now you're doing exactly what He created you to do.

You're thirty-five? Jesus was in the temple at twelve years old, and then you don't hear from Him again until He's thirty. Eighteen years. We think we're wasting time. No. Believe God, follow Him, and He'll put you right in time, on time, doing all the things He created you to do.

The Conversion of a Debunker

Daniel: Let me give you a brief bio on me. My spiritual bio.

My father was an atheist for most of his life. My mother was more on the faithful side, and both my grandmothers were deeply faithful prayer warriors. My father had a very difficult life. He was born in Korea just after the war, tremendous poverty, his own dad not in the picture. A lot of trauma, and also very gifted. I grew up as his only son. And I would say I inherited my father's anger. That spiritual current was transmitted to me, like a telephone game. I was a bit of a bully at school. I took a beating at home, and I had to pay it forward somewhere.

Around sixteen, I found myself coming to church. And I came as an aggressive intellectual atheist trying to debunk and disprove the Bible and Christianity. I'm sure you've come across some of those.

Apostle: Oh, I love it. Because they're all getting born again. They're like, uh-oh. Wait a minute.

Daniel: Right. That was me. I'm a statistic. Actually, now when I see one of those, I get really happy, because I'm like, oh, just wait. I have a special place in my heart for them, because I see the earnestness they have. More than they realize, they are, in a way, closer to Jesus than people who just don't care.

Apostle: Yes. They're going to search for Him, and then they finally find Him. Let me put this little insert in. I worked as an electronic engineer for thirty-three years at the same location. There was an atheist on the job. He said, "I'm an atheist. I don't believe in God." I said, "What did you say?" He said, "I'm an atheist, I don't believe in God." I said, "In who?" He said, "In God." I said, "Oh, so He does exist." And I just walked off. Just a little salt. Keep going.

Daniel: That's funny. I love that. So yeah, I had a conversion in high school. It was instant, and it was total. Once I prayed a prayer and invited God into my heart, it just clicked. I came back to school after that weekend, and people I had been a bully to, all of a sudden I'm being nice to them. Kindness and love in my heart, and a repentant spirit. They were like, "What happened to you? You were giving me a hard time all last week, and now you're pouring out sweetness." It was a one-eighty.

And from there I spent the next several years, all through high school and college, just on fire. I was a praise and worship leader in the Korean campus ministry, and I was the one honorary Korean guy in the gospel choir. I love soulful gospel music. I love to sing, I love to worship. And I did ministry on campus, with the homeless people around it. Eighteen, nineteen years old, bringing food and prayer.

And I was engaged in a multiyear spiritual battle to bring my father to Christ. A big part of my coming to Christ in the first place was trying to survive my father and the spiritual environment of our home. And it happened. It was a miracle. But man, was it hard. I took on a lot of emotional wounding in the process. A lot of tears over that whole journey.

Why He Left

Daniel: I think what destabilized me was this. I've always been such a seeker of truth. As somebody who was not raised in the church, who came to Christ on my own accord as an atheist debunker, I wanted the Word to make sense to me. I wanted to know what I was talking about when I brought it to people. There was a sense of integrity in that. So I was eating up sermon after sermon from all kinds of preachers and pastors, from all sorts of places. I thought hearing from the whole body of Christ would resolve my questions.

I didn't think it would destabilize me. But it did.

Apostle: Let me tell you. There are Pharisees and Sadducees and couldn't-sees and wouldn't-sees. There's theology and apologetics and so much out there. And then you have those that were taught by the Holy Spirit. What's there to apologize for in the Bible? You stumbled over a rock; its name is Jesus. You'll keep stumbling until you learn that rock is the way. I'm not going to apologize for that. I love you, and here's the truth.

If you want to see power: love. "And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3:19) Love passes knowledge. The Pharisees and the Sadducees had the education. But the ones called to do great things for God? Elisha was out plowing in the field when Elijah found him, not in the school of the prophets. Moses was in the desert. The Holy Ghost taught them.

And you mentioned that word "deferred." The Bible says hope deferred makes the heart sick. It breaks the heart. It's amazing that you can put your hope in the wrong thing, and that will break your heart. When you have hope in the right thing, your heart won't ever get broken again.

Daniel: Can I ask you something? I feel like I had experiences in the earlier days where I was moving in the Spirit, in the power of the Spirit, in much the same way you're talking about. I had a word for somebody, or I was moved to pray for a healing or a deliverance. And sometimes it was ineffective, or it seemed wrong, or it just didn't happen. Or somebody I really trusted gave a prophetic word, and it didn't happen.

It's almost like I'm Peter. I'm out at sea in the boat. Christ told me to go ahead and walk out on the water, and I took the first few steps. And then I fell in the water. I got sucked into the ocean. And ever since then, I think I said: I don't know if I'll ever listen to that voice ever again.

There were times people I trusted as spiritual mentors or fathers left me disappointed, or hurt, or confused. And there were times I was moving in the same gifts and started questioning whether I was just speaking what I thought or what I felt. So it was like: is that person a false prophet? And then, am I a false prophet? It started to lead me to question whether I was hearing God's voice at all, or whether I was cooking this whole thing up. And that was very destabilizing for me and my faith. Ever since then, part of me has been guarded when it comes to that.

Human Error and God's Faithfulness

Apostle: Understandable. Let me ask you a couple of questions and bring a couple of things to light. In your work, have you ever made a mistake and had to redo something? You're drawing something, it isn't quite right, you use the eraser and get it right. So don't be hypocritical. You're okay with yourself making a mistake and redoing it. When God tells you to do something, it's right. So when an error comes, that's on our part, because we stopped listening to the Spirit and got over into the flesh.

You used Peter as your example. Good. Jesus said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat, and he did not wait for the storm to cease. He got out during the storm, and he walked on the waves just like Jesus did. The rest of the disciples stayed in the boat. They're not getting out. But people talk about how he fell. He did. But the amazing thing is that he walked. He literally walked on the water. And then he took his eyes off of Jesus, and he began to look at what he was walking on, and at the waves, and all the natural things started to creep in, and then he began to sink.

He didn't sin because he walked on water. He wasn't disobeying Jesus; he was obeying Jesus. He began to sink because he took his eyes off of Jesus in the middle. That's where human error comes in. God might tell you to do something, you start doing what God said, and then somehow you get it twisted with some earthly thing, and you begin to sink, and then you say, "God said this, and it didn't happen." No. It did, if God said it. God isn't the problem. We let natural things affect us. That's the problem.

Here's an example. A long time ago I showed up at an accident on the side of the road. I looked at the guy they had in the ambulance and I said, "Are you okay? Do I need to pray for you?" He said, "I'm good. I'm okay." I walked off. That man died the next day. Why did I ask him? I should have just prayed for him anyway, because he didn't know his condition. God wanted me to pray for him, and I knew it in my heart. But because he said "I'm okay," I let the natural scene pull me off of it.

Another time I was at a church and God told me: somebody over in this section is having a heart issue, and God wants to heal you right now. Who are you? Nobody raised a hand. On Monday I got a call from that pastor. A man sitting right there had a heart issue. He was given the opportunity to come and get prayer, and he died that week.

So there are different reasons things happen, but God is never at fault. Sometimes God sends the word before the person even knows they need it. They haven't been to the doctor yet. Their denial doesn't mean you were wrong, and it doesn't mean you didn't hear from God. It means they don't know yet. You're there to stop it. When I hear the Spirit tell me anything now, I'm going to do it, because He doesn't lie. Jesus said it like this: I only do what I see my Father do; I only say what I hear my Father say. Period. It isn't based off of feelings.

So all those disappointments were natural. It all comes down to human error, and God isn't giving up on you. So why should you give up on God? When you mess up on the job, you don't quit; you just learned something. That's what God does with us. He's not mad at us. We just have to grow up. Speaking the truth in love, we grow up into all things.

And you sound like Paul. You sound like Saul converted to Paul. Did you know that after Paul got saved and went into ministry, they stoned him and left him for dead? God raised him up, and then he disappears for about twenty years. Nobody teaches that. He gets rock stable with God, and then he writes more of the New Testament than any apostle, and he never walked with Jesus. It was all faith.

Everybody thinks, "What, do I need twenty years?" No. Time with God transcends time. You can go with God in a moment where it should have taken thirty years. Moses was in the desert for forty years before God called him back. Jesus was in the temple at twelve, and you don't hear from Him again until He's thirty. You think the devil's going to let this be easy? He's going to try his best to set you up for failure and discourage you. But if you know these things, the disappointments can't take you out.

The Scripture He Was Given

Apostle: Now, I'm under a much better covenant, a covenant of mercy and grace. And this is the Scripture God wanted me to give you. Second Corinthians nine and eight. "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." (2 Corinthians 9:8)

That is such a powerful Scripture.

Daniel: What verse is that? Let me write that down.

Apostle: Second Corinthians 9:8. You should declare that Scripture daily. Grace is God's unmerited favor. Grace is also God's influence upon the heart, shown openly. When Paul talked to Jesus about the thorn in his side, Jesus said, "My grace is sufficient for thee." Look at Paul's testimony. He was shipwrecked; it couldn't kill him. He was stoned; they couldn't kill him. A poisonous snake bit him; he shook it off and kept going. Nothing could kill him. God says: my grace has kept you through all of this, and my grace is going to keep you through everything that's coming.

And by the way, professionally: you can be at the top. In fact, you should be at the top. Seek Him first. Our Kingdom rules over everything on this earth.

"You're Bright"

Apostle: You know, Daniel, I'm looking at you, and I'm looking at you in the spirit. Boy, you're bright. You're bright. When I mean bright, I mean, like, full of light. Like, translucent. You've got a glow about you right now.

Gary: And you don't say that about everyone. Right?

Apostle: Have you heard me say that about anyone?

Gary: I haven't heard you say that about anyone.

Apostle: When I see the glory, which is the glory of God's presence, I know things are happening in the spiritual realm. And that's a wonderful, wonderful thing.

The Wilderness Named

Daniel: I think in closing, this whole past year has been... let me say it this way. There are parts of the story I didn't get to. I told you that I left the church, left the path. I left the Kingdom, so to speak, in search of some more universal truth. There were questions I wanted to seek after. So I went exploring. I went and sat with the Zen Buddhists and wanted to know what that's all about. I explored psychedelics out west.

And what's funny is, around twenty-eight, something in my spirit was bringing me back onto the spiritual path. Part of me was missing the time when I was walking with the Lord. And I got on my knees and I prayed: "God, show up. It's me. It's been a while. If you're real, then show up, in a way that's real for me now."

Not long after I prayed that prayer, I received a call. And it was an invitation to an ayahuasca ceremony.

That kicked off about a four-year journey in my life that I really thought was my calling. In Kingdom language, you might call it pharmakia. Plant medicine. It's spiritual. It opens you up, takes you somewhere else. You'll meet different beings and entities and light, and have experiences that present as very divine. But looking back now, I'm more inclined to call it a false light.

Apostle: Mhmm. Demonic. Yeah. Demonic.

Daniel: So looking back, it was more like: if I'm back in the garden, I took the fruit. And I had to really bottom out. I'm about a year removed now. From the God's-eye view, it's kind of like: this one, anything he does, he's got to go all the way. He's got to come close to crashing the entire car.

In Korean churches we have this tradition of early morning prayer. Six a.m. services, a short word, short worship, and then they turn the lights down, turn the music up, and everyone just gets to pray hard. Really potent prayer services. I love that the Korean church creates that space: anyone can come at six in the morning, just about any day, and that space is prepared for you to go deep into prayer.

So I've been going, just like I used to when I was a kid. I've been going with my mother. And the first day we were there together, we just wept together. That was a really beautiful moment that we shared. And from that place, I texted Gary: hey, reporting live, here's my status update. And that's when he decided it was important for us to meet and have this chat.

And it's also beautiful, because I feel a sense of peace here. Like, I finally stopped doing it on my own, and I finally let go of the little things I was clinging on to. I know this is probably going to be a bit painful, but in a way that feels right too. I know I'm going through a surgery, so to speak, removing the things. And it's going to be up from here. I feel like I'm back home.

I have so much more wisdom now around what not to do. Less naivety, less pride, less judgment, and more compassion, for myself and for people. When I was younger I was full of zeal, and it wasn't supported with enough wisdom.

The Rededication

Apostle: So the whole thing is this. The Bible says to honor your mother and your father, that your days may be long. That's one thing. And then you should also have a spiritual leader. One that doesn't mind telling you yes or no. One that won't mix it with feelings. They'll mix it all with faith. Because you're God-sent, and it needs to be accurate.

And I can see, in the spirit, all of the connections in you gone white. Like all white connections, wired. It's like you've been rewired, and reconnected, so that you can be who God has called you to be. That's what I see in the spirit. This is glorious. This is really, really cool.

Keep going to the prayer meetings. And there's more. There's a lot more. Man, this is not by accident. This is by divine appointment that we've come together, and God's wanting to do some great things in you.

So I'm going to ask you. You said that you went to your mother's church, and now you're praying. Have you literally prayed a prayer of rededication? First John one and nine says you've got to pray a prayer to get back to right standing with God. Have you done it?

Daniel: No. Not that verse. With me, I'm talking to God and saying, "I'm sorry."

Apostle: So, repentance. I'm just going to lead you in the prayer. Okay? See, praying the Scripture is absolutely critical. In the spiritual realm, accuracy matters even more than in the natural realm. We're going to pray First John one and nine. That's in the epistles. That's to the church. That's to the people that already know they messed up. Let me read it to you right now, starting at verse five.

"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:5-10)

So then: we start out right. We get on the wrong road. Here's the way back. I'm going to pray that prayer with you, so you know that you did First John one and nine. The blood of Jesus is going to wash you completely free and clear from anything that wasn't Him, and you're going to be in right standing with God. When you get born again, you become righteous. When you get off track, unrighteousness gets stacked on. And then you come back to God, and He takes all the unrighteousness off, and leaves you righteous and holy again. So, Daniel, let me lead you.

The Apostle led, and Daniel repeated every line.

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I confess I've sinned. You know them all. There may be some that I've forgotten about, and you know them all. So, Father, I'm asking you to make me righteous again. Forgive me, and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank you, Lord. I believe and I receive it right now. I'm washed in the blood of the Lamb. I'm holy, and I'm pure unto you again. Every addiction falls off, and anything that's not Kingdom. Thank you, Father, for not giving up on me or turning your back on me. I'm yours forever. Thank you for throwing all of my sins into the sea of forgetfulness. I'm no longer a sinner. I don't obey sin. I'm righteous, and I'm holy. I get a brand new start, today, right now. In Jesus' name. I give you glory and praise.

Apostle: Now you're there.

Daniel: Thanks for hanging in there with me a few more rounds.

Apostle: Hey, man. We've got to knock out everything that doesn't belong. You're there now. We don't have to wait for years, or another moment, or another second. You're there now. And I love you. I can't wait to see you again. I can't wait to meet you in person.

I love the presence of Jesus. I love how He waits on us to just surrender, and then He takes us back as if we've done nothing wrong. Man, that's what I love about Him so much. He knows everything that I've ever done and ever going to do. He still takes me back and loves me to life. He doesn't preach me to death or condemn me. He just takes me, and loves me, and heals me. That's a good God. Father, we bless you. Thank you for your mercy and your grace. Thank you for my new friend.

One More Prayer

Gary: Apostle, can you pray for me? Because I'm about to have a big job interview in thirty minutes.

Apostle: Oh, okay. I just didn't know. Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for Gary. I loose your mercy and your grace. Father God, you said this is the set time, the kairos moment of favor for Zion. That is who Gary is. So Father, I loose the favor and the grace upon Gary. May his lips only speak Kingdom. You said in your word that as the rivers of water, you turn the king's heart whithersoever you will. You will turn hearts during this interview, and cause your face to shine upon him. Father God, may they see in this man all that they need, to bless him and for you to be blessed. The anointing is upon him. The blessing is upon him. The favor is upon him. The grace is upon him.

And thank you for Daniel. A great life. I can't wait until his connection is in its maturity. What a blessing. We give you glory, honor, and praise this morning, in the mighty name of Jesus. Love you, guys. We are Kingdom.

Daniel: Love you. God bless you, brothers. Thank you so much.

Gary: Thank you, Apostle. Thanks for the time, Daniel.

The Shape of a Return

Look back over the three hours and notice the order the Apostle worked in.

He healed before he asked. The very first thing he did, before he knew Daniel's story, was put the broken heart back together, because a broken heart cannot hold faith steady. See How to Receive a Miracle and healing.

He corrected identity before he heard the testimony. "I'm Korean American" got interrupted with "you are Kingdom," because everything else in the conversation would stand on who Daniel believed he was.

He honored the wound before he reframed it. Daniel's prophetic disappointments were real, and the Apostle did not wave them off. He relocated the error: always on the human side, never on God's. Peter's walk on the water is the whole teaching in one picture, and it pairs with the surrender taught in Obedient Flow.

He let Daniel name the counterfeit himself. Nobody argued him out of the ayahuasca years. Daniel called it pharmakia and false light with his own mouth, and the Apostle simply confirmed what it was. The will is the shield; the turning had to be Daniel's.

And when it was time to come home, he did not settle for a feeling. He opened the Book, read First John aloud, and led the prayer word for word, because in the spiritual realm accuracy matters. That is declaration doing its proper work: the Word in the mouth, and heaven moving on it.

A man walked into a video call grieving, and walked out rededicated, glowing, and connected. Three hours. One conversation. This is the way the fire spreads.
